Looking for clues
|
Mao Tse Tung
It suddenly sort of hit me about what women represent to us,
not as the sex object or the mother, but just their contribution.
That’s why you hear the muttering at the beginning
‘For the other half of the sky,’ which is Chairman Mao’s famous statement.
And it is the other half.
All this thing about man, woman, man, woman is a joke.
Without each other there ain’t nothin’.
John Lennon, 1980
Yoko me llama “papá”.
y he sido feliz e infeliz.
For the other half of the sky
Woman I can hardly express,
My mixed emotion at my thoughtlessness,
After all I’m forever in your debt.
And woman I will try express,
My inner feelings and thankfulness,
For showing me the meaning of success.
Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well,
Woman I know you understand
The little child inside the man,
Please remember my life
is in your hands.
And woman hold me close to your heart,
However, distant don’t keep us apart,
After all it is written in the stars,
Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well.
Woman please let me explain,
I never mean(t) to cause you sorrow or pain
So let me tell you again
and again and again,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever …

Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well,
Oooh well, well,
Mujer por favor déjame explicarte
Nunca pretendí causarte tristeza o dolor
Así que déjame decirte una
y otra vez
